ABOUT THE ARTIST:
The son of master dancers Ramón de los Reyes and Clara Ramona, Isaac de los Reyes danced since he could barely walk.
He received his initial training with his parents, performing all over the world as part of the Ramón de los Reyes Spanish Dance Theater, founded by his father in Boston in 1976. He continued his training in flamenco and ballet at the legendary Amor de Dios flamenco school, in Madrid.
He has toured as a soloist with the companies of Antonio Canales, Ballet Antonio Gades and Enrique Morente, among others.
He performs regularly around the world and in important flamenco clubs throughout Spain such as Casa Patas and Cardamomo. Isaac is an actor and appeared in a major role in Sigfrid Monleón's critically acclaimed film "The Consul of Sodom." He has frequently collaborated with Spanish pop artist Domingo Zapata and has performed on the runway at New York and Los Angeles Fashion Week.
Isaac is one of the best flamenco dancers of his generation. He is known for his emotionally expressive dancing, exquisitely clear footwork, and complex rhythms. His diverse training and experience have allowed him to fuse flamenco with influences from ballet and contemporary dance, creating an elegant but raw style, very personal and deeply rooted in tradition.
At the end of 1996, together with his parents and his brother, his Nino, he toured the United States with the show Flamenco en Concierto. In 1997, he danced in Pa’los Flamencos, directed by Francisco Sánchez, with Clara Ramona's Spanish Ballet and collaborated with the Harvard University Dance Program. He has also performed the Rafael de Córdoba Spanish Ballet as a soloist. He also appeared on television in the program Algo Más Que Flamenco.
In 1998 he joined Campanas Flamencas with performances in Segovia, Valencia and Sadler's Wells Theater in London. And with this same group he performed at the famous Sydney Opera House, within the Sydney Festival, Australia.
In the year 2000 Isaac, had his television experience in Japan, together with the violinist Ikuku Kawai, in the advertising campaign of Aurora City, in Tokyo. He also participated as a guest artist in companies such as Joaquin Grilo or Rafael Aguilar. He has been a member of the Antonio Canales company, with whom he later shared the bill in the Second Edition of Solidaridad Flamenca.
During 2001 he acted in the show "España Baila" as a guest artist.
Together with his brother, his Nino, he has continued to build his show "Flamenco Esencia", which they have already taken to Greece, Honolulu, Boston and Spain, Madrid, Valencia, Vitoria, etc. On his own he has taken his American tour to New York, Massachusets and Vermont, which he has completed by giving master classes.
In this year 2002 he has participated together with the bailaora Belén Fernández in the Paou Dance Festival, France. He has participated in the "Al Flamenco, Palo" series at the Sala Triángulo in Madrid.
In China he has participated as a guest artist of the «Clara Ramona Spanish Ballet». In Italy together with Nino de los Reyes he has participated in the «Versiliana Festival» of Rai TV and in the «World Music Festival of Fiviziano».
In 2003 he created his own show together with Nino de los Reyes called "Hombres Flamencos" which they presented at the "Festival Hall" in Osaka - Japan, at the "Ohrid Summer Festival" in Macedonia and at the Center for the Arts Cyclorama in Boston - Uses.
In 2004 he was part of the show "Duende" by Diana Thedim's company and toured Portugal in the company of Alfonso Losa, Nino de los Reyes and José Maya.
He is part of the companies of El Güito participating in the Festival de Jerez and in the company of Carmen Cortés in her work "La Celestina" on a tour throughout Spain. He also highlights his participation in the "Gala Chica Interview 2004" at the Madrid Theater as a guest artist.
In 2005 he participated in the show "TealterAnviersarie" at the Sangrila Hotel in Manila, Philippines and is part of Paco Suarez's "Romancero Gitano" company playing El Camborio at the Alcázar Theater in Madrid.
In 2006 he has participated in the Jerez Festival with the work "Puerta del Silencio" by the Carmen Cortés company and as a guest artist by Gerardo Núñez he has participated in Hamburg with GATEWAY SIMPHONY ORCHESTA.
He also highlights his participation as a model for the Loewe firm in Hong Kong, Shan Hai in various fashion shows of the brand.
The expressive force of this bailaor characterizes him as a splendid artistic reality among the elite of his generation.
