If you love drawing and bringing your own stories to life, this is your contest! ALL TECHNIQUES IN THE WORLD ARE ACCEPTED!
Participate in the I Torremolinos Comics Contest and win fantastic gifts!
In addition, you will be able to see your great work of art on display so that all the residents of the city can visit it and visitors.

FIRST. OBJECT.
• Promote creativity, encourage artistic expression and support interest in the world of Comics.
• The search for the union of new technologies with drawing and character design.
• Serve as a platform for new Creators.
SECOND. PARTICIPANTS.
• People from all over the world can participate, regardless of their place of residence. To determine the age, the date of submission of the works will be taken into account.
• You can participate INDIVIDUALLY or COLLECTIVELY.
• Each Contestant or Collective can present as many works as they wish.
• There is no incompatibility in competing individually and collectively.
THIRD. PRESENTATION OF THE WORKS.
• The deadline for delivery will be 1:30 p.m. on June 16, 2021.
• Participation will be free.
• The work may be in black and white or color, with a maximum extension of 4 pages in din A4 format, on one side, or proportional size, the comic pages must be correctly numbered.
• The works can only be submitted electronically through the email cultura@torremolinos.es
• Registration for it will be done by attaching the following documents in a single email:
→ First file, called “OBRA + WORK TITLE”, must contain only the work presented without any other information that can identify the Author or Collective. The file must be in PDF or JPG format.
→ Second file, called "SOLICITUD + TITLE OF THE WORK", which will contain the completed form in Suscription. Minors must also attach Authorization to the completed email.
QUARTER. JURY.
• The Jury will be made up of three people related to the world of Culture, Art and Comics, and they will be appointed by the Torremolinos City Council.
• The Jury's decision will be final, and will be communicated to the Winners and published on the Torremolinos Town Hall Transparency Portal between June 26 and 30, 2021 and on the website www.torremolinoscultura.es.
FIFTH. EXHIBITION AND OWNERSHIP OF THE WORKS.
• Acceptance of the participation bases implies that the works may be published and / or exhibited by the entity that calls and organizes this Contest for promotional or dissemination purposes, both on social networks and in places enabled for this purpose.
• The Organization may organize an exhibition with the works submitted to the Competition.
SIXTH. PERSONAL INFORMATION.
In compliance with the provisions of Organic Law 03/2018, of December 5, on the Protection of Personal Data and Guarantee of Digital Rights, it is reported that the personal data provided by the Contestants will be used exclusively for the exercise of the powers of this Administration, and will be incorporated into the files that make up the Torremolinos City Council database, before which you can exercise your rights of access, rectification, cancellation and opposition.
SEVENTH. CESSION OF RIGHTS.
• The participants, by providing content that may be protected by intellectual or industrial property rights during the event, through the means made available to them, expressly grant the Organization a non-exclusive license to use, reproduce , transform, publicly communicate and distribute said content, without profit, with no limitations other than those derived from the current Intellectual Property Law.
• Likewise, the participants undertake not to contribute content or rights of which they are not owners.
• The participants will be liable to the Organization, or to third parties, for any damages that may be caused as a result of the breach of said obligation and will leave the Organization harmless from any liability that may arise from the infringement of the Image, intellectual or industrial property rights relating to the content provided by the participant in question.
• Likewise, the participants authorize the organizers to disclose their name, and assign them the rights of their image, for their treatment through any system and support that allows to fix, insert, disseminate, reproduce, disclose, exploit and communicate it publicly, together with the image of the event. Said assignment does not have any type of geographical or territorial limitation.
EIGHTH. ACCEPTANCE OF THE RULES.
• Participation in the Contest implies full acceptance of these rules, as well as the transfer of the right to exploit the winning works for one year from the date of publication of the Jury's decision.
• The authorization contemplated in this section will not generate any remuneration, given that the purpose of the reproduction and communication to the public of the projects is based on the dissemination and promotion of the event, of the entities that call and organize the Contest, of the works presented and their authors. This transfer of rights is carried out without prejudice in any case to the copyright, understanding that it is carried out exclusively for the indicated modes of exploitation. In all the aforementioned cases, the name of the authors of the works will be recorded.
• Failure to comply with any of these RULES will lead to exclusion from participation in the Contest.
• Any incident that may arise and that is not reflected in these Terms and Conditions will be resolved by the Organization according to its knowledge and best criteria.
• The fact of participating in this call implies that the participant expressly accepts, without reservation or limitation, to comply with each and every one of the RULES that govern the Contest.
• If there are doubts or discrepancies in the interpretation of these rules, the Organization will make an interpretation according to the spirit and purpose for which the Contest has been created.
• The Contest may be canceled at any stage of it, and the Awards may be declared void based on the quantity and quality of the works presented, as well as any other reason or cause of non-compliance with the purpose and bases of the call, at the discretion of the Organization and the Jury.
NINTH. THEMATIC.
• The theme will be free.
• The Organization reserves the right not to select works that exalt intolerance, hatred, sexism or racism.
TENTH. AWARDS.
TWO CATEGORIES:

• First Prize: Material valued at €100 at the Pergamon Bookstore
• Second Prize: Material valued at €50 at the Pergamon Library
→ CATEGORY OVER 18 YEARS OLD:
• First Prize: Material valued at €100 at the Pergamon Bookstore
• Second Prize: Material valued at €50 at the Pergamon Library
Likewise, the Jury reserves the right to grant as many Honorary Accésits as it deems necessary.
